T. C. Boyle - Hamilton Fish Award

A preeminent contemporary American writer, T.C. Boyle is the author of 28 works of award-winning fiction, including over 100 short stories. His novel World's End, published in 1987,  is a journey through 400 years of Hudson HIghlands history set in Peekskill, Cortlandt Manor, and Garrison. His newest book, Outside Looking in, explores the first scientific and recreational forays into LSD. He is a Distinguished Professor of English Literature at the University of Southern California. Professor Boyle will receive the Hamilton Fish Award.

Tony and Leonora Burton - Patricia Adams Award

Tony Burton, born in Great Britain, was a Pulitzer-Prize-nominated journalist and novelist who passed away in 2018. Leonora Burton, his widow, was born in Wales and is also a novelist as well as the owner of local businesses The Country Goose and Highland Baskets. Residents of Philipstown since 1983, both have contributed in innumerable ways to enhancing life in our community. Tony and Leonora will receive the Patricia Adams Award for Community Service
